Beach Hotel
Karahe was established in 1980, at a time when Manuel Antonio was just beginning to emerge as an attractive tourist destination with no hotels in the area.
Doña Cecilia, the founder of Hotel Karahe, decided to build a hotel that would offer visitors a pleasant and unforgettable experience. She chose to construct villas in the mountains, each with its own terrace and bathroom, soon becoming well-known for their breathtaking views and exceptional customer service that made guests feel right at home.
Within a few months, Karahe became a favorite destination for North American and European visitors, who often stayed in the villas for more than two weeks—connecting with nature and enjoying leisure time at one of the most beautiful beaches in the country.
Over the years, guests from all over the world have fallen in love with the natural beauty and charm of the area, which is still considered one of the most stunning paradises in the world.
Since then, the hotel has grown into what it is today: Karahe, a beachfront hotel featuring a restaurant, swimming pool, lush gardens, and 49 rooms, including 7 villas, 8 standard rooms, 4 sea breeze rooms, 6 sea breeze deluxe rooms, and 24 beachfront rooms

Our restaurant (CANTO DEL MAR) is known for our authentic Costa Rican cuisine and our delicious Peruvian specialties. Every morning, guests can enjoy a breakfast with traditional Costa Rican pinto, sautéed eggs, variety of breads, cereals, fruits, served with a delicious coffee or a natural drink. Canto del Mar’s lunch and dinner are à la carte. We have a wide variety of dishes, from the famous Costa Rican “casado” to our delicious and fresh seafood.

Being located in the Manuel Antonio National Park area, Karahe Hotel has a variety of gardens that are maintained daily, to achieve this beautiful habitat to be enjoyed by our guests and the animals that live in the gardens of our hotel.
